AI Chat Widgets – Different types and how they help your business

What are AI Chat widgets and why do I need them?

Learn more about how they help during the recording of episode 2 of our Lunch and Learn series.

Informal Lunch and Learn Session

Tony hosts a weekly informal lunch and learn session. This particular session had low attendance, with only Steve initially joining. Tony waited a few minutes for others to join before starting the recording. He mentioned that one person, Pam, was having trouble joining but decided to proceed anyway, allowing Pam to join later if possible. The session covered AI chat and how it can help attendees.

AI Chat for Business Growth

Tony discussed the importance of AI chat in business growth. He highlighted the role of AI in assisting with tasks such as formatting blog posts, sending text messages, and email marketing campaigns. He also emphasized the need for effective communication with business owners, suggesting the use of a widget on websites to capture contacts and nurture leads. Tony pointed out that traditional forms can be a deterrent for potential customers, and proposed the use of AI chat to facilitate communication and engagement.

Chat Widget for Immediate Communication

Tony discussed the use of a chat widget for immediate communication and the potential for AI to assist in conversations via text message. He highlighted the issue of people’s reluctance to fill out forms due to concerns about spam or unwanted contact. Tony suggested a more effective approach, where the chat widget engages in conversation before requiring any personal information. He also mentioned the possibility of using the chat widget for communication within a business or on a platform.

AI Chat Widget Demonstration

Tony demonstrated the functionality of an AI chat widget on a website, explaining how it engages with potential customers, gathers their information, and books appointments. He highlighted the benefits of this system, such as providing immediate responses and a more personalized experience for visitors. Tony also noted that the AI bot can adapt its responses to different users, offering a more dynamic conversation. He concluded the presentation by inviting questions and promising to send a replay link for those who missed the session.

AI Chatbot Functionality and Training

Tony and Steve discussed the functionality and training of AI chatbots. Tony explained that AI chatbots are trained on a company’s website content and other relevant information, and they learn to answer questions differently each time, similar to human responses. He also clarified that AI chatbots are not programmed with scripts like traditional software, but rather learn from the data they are trained on. Steve asked about the handling of technical questions not found on the website, to which Tony responded that the AI chatbot would try to book an appointment or gather contact information, while more in-depth questions would be handled by AI agents, akin to employees. Tony also mentioned that the technology is evolving rapidly, with new features and capabilities being added to their systems on a weekly basis.
