Softwired is located in Bellingham, WA serving Whatcom County, Seattle, Portland, OR, and the Pacific Northwest region.

Originally founded in 2006 with the purpose to create high quality websites for affordable rates.  During that time a variety of technologies were researched and discovered the emergence of open source content management systems.

The advantage is that open source is free.  This lowers costs and creates a community of developers and users.  The software is the main engine that runs your website which can be added onto by other pieces of software called extensions.
