A Thirst for Quality ~
Wine: We search the Pacific Northwest to find the best wines that are interesting and reasonably priced, yet diverse and eclectic. There are 25-30 wines by the glass and 60+ by the bottle and we rotate our selection frequently so you can always try something new at Thirst. We also feature a select collection from California and when we have our 'tasting battles' we bring in some foreign wines. We sell our wines by the taste, glass, flight and bottle + have bottles to go at very reasonable prices.
Food: We have wine-friendly cuisine consisting of Pacific NW-inspired entrees and starters, unique artisinal cheeses and charcuterie, antipasto, our delicious gnocchi, decadent cheese fondue, and homemade soups. Thirst's focus is on high quality ingredients and we are dedicated to using local, natural and organic products and supporting local businesses whever possible.
A Thirst for Beauty ~
Downtown Location: A window-filled dining room and fabulous outdoor patio allowing you to breathe in fresh air while you enjoy the view. Winner of many local awards and featured in national publications, Thirst is only a short walk or Streetcar ride from some of downtown’s most notable attractions. It’s a perfect setting for a romantic meal before the theatre, the finale of a lovely walk along the RiverPlace Esplanade or day of shopping at Pioneer Square. The ideal place to relax, sip wine, people watch, and take in the view of the Willamette river and gorgeous Mt. Hood while enjoying a respite from your fast-paced life.
Lake Oswego: Our second location brings something fresh and different to the residents and visitors of Lake Oswego/West Linn. Meet friends and neighbors and enjoy pairing and sharing our food that consists of light entrees, appetizers, cheese, antipasto and decadent desserts, and of course local wine. A cozy, den-like decor will welcome you and make you feel at home.
A Thirst for Simplicity ~
We want you to feel welcome and at ease. It's simple - our philosophy is that we are ALL continually learning about wine and we hope to learn from our customers! At RiverPlace our bar is built from reclaimed 12-foot French oak vats from a domestic winery. At our Lake Oswego location we used "Lyptus" wood for our bar, a renewable source, and recycled thousands of corks and wine labels within our decor. We hope by being conscientious about our environment, it will make a difference and bring us all back to simpler times.
Whatever you thirst for, we hope to quench it!
